Age 89.

Nancy lived in Hamtramck, RoyalOak, Detroit, Garden City, and Westland actively involved in the churches at each. She went to school and graduated from Shrine of the Little Flower,where she was a founding member of the Crazy Eight and developed life long bonds. At St Teresa, St Dunstan,and St Mary the Cause of Our Joy, she worked as part of many of the groups such as Girl Scouts, Senior clubs and bus tours. At Holiday Park she Volunteered on several committees , and for elections.

Her employment was just as varied as her other commitments , she worked briefly at Michigan Bell before becoming a full time mom. As the family got older she delivered Observer papers to the paper boys. She worked at a Wicks & Sticks, and eventually retired from Valassis where she socialized with a group of coworkers dubbed The Golden Girls. I can't leave out the Fast Pace Fitness Breakfast Club.

No slacker as a stay at home Mom, she directed the care of a large vegetable garden. As well as the canning or freezing the food for a family of 9. Then there was the yearly moving of the existing plants around the yard, and placement of truck fulls of chippings.

Nancy was a great cook and baker for many years. She was an even better seamstress making much of the family's clothing early on, and a quilter to the end.

Nancy loved hosting parties, and socializing in general. and would spend as much time at her cottage in the woods overlooking the river in Stanwood.

Family camping trips every summer gave way to travelling around the country and around the world with family or friends.

Beloved wife of the late Edmund. Dearest mother of Laura (Jean Iannone), Michael (Lisa), Kathleen (Jeff) Hahn-Pelto, Mark (Anne), Donna Hahn-Becker, Matthew (Julie), and Kristin (Chris) Rockensuess. Adored grandmother of Thomas (Karen), Courtney (David), Robert (Lauren), Erik, Andrea (Bill), Emma, Stephanie (Mick), Joshua, Jacob, and Nicholas. Cherished great-grandmother of Owen, Hunter, and Roman. Dear sister of Donald (Pat) Dimmer, Phillip (Jan) Dimmer, Mary Ann (Tony) Baltzell, and the late Richard (Carol) Dimmer and Ronald (Maureen) Dimmer.

Visitation, Wednesday 2-8pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc., 1139 Inkster Road, Garden City (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill). Funeral Service, Thursday 10:30am until the 11am Mass at St. Mary Cause of Our Joy Catholic Church, 8200 N. Wayne Road, (between Warren Road and Joy Road).

In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Penrickton Center for Blind Children or Heart to Heart Hospice.
