Age80

Norman was born to Marion (Outlaw) Stone and Horace Outlaw Sept. 2, 1937. Married to Elizabeth Messing, June 25, 1960. He is survived by his wife Liz of 57 years; sons Daniel (Meg), Dennis (Nancy) and Doug (Mary); grandchildren, Beth, Nick (Logan), Patrick, Henry (Miranda), Simon, Chelsea, Justin, Hannah; great grandchildren Arlo and Emmett; brother-in-law Ron Payne. Preceded in death by parents Horace and Marion; sister Joyce Payne.

He served in the U.S. Army where he learned to repair airplanes, attended Northrop Institute of Technology in Calif. where he earned his aircraft mechanic license, then worked 55+ years at Flying Tigers, Pan Am and Ford Aviation. He loved working with his hands so fixing airplanes was fun for him.

Visitation Thursday 2 pm – 8pm with a 7 pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City (Between Ford Rd. & Cherry Hill).  In state Friday 9:30 am followed by the 10 am Funeral Service at St. Richard Catholic Church, 35637 Cherry Hill (west of Wayne Road).

Family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
