Age 98

Beloved husband of the late Grace "Chris" for 56 years. Dear father of Jacquiline (Randy) Weddle, Jeffrey N. (Migdalia), Vanessa (the late Jon) Hoye and the late Pamela Kerr. Father-in-law of John Kerr. Grandfather of Renee (Tracy Watson) Stalker, Nathan Stalker, Amber (Matt) Crowning, Davin (April) Anderson, Justin (Gwen) Anderson, Colin Anderson, Jerod (Dehvon) Davies, Isaac Davies, Jashua Davies,  Peter (Michelle) Hoye, Benjamin Hoye and Evan Hoye. Great grandfather of Makiah, Olivia, Shafer, Riley, Ciara, Alana, Jory, and Elizabeth. Great great grandfather of Ezra.

Norman was born in Ontario, Canada, moved with his family to the United States when he was 3 years old. He became a naturalized American citizen after he was drafted and sent to England, before deployment to Normandy, France. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years as a Graphic Illustrator.

Norm was a seeker of knowledge, wisdom and topics to discuss. Always a voracious reader, a curious mind on many subjects, yet he had a creative soul. Many described him as being down to earth, unpretentious, giving to a fault and someone with a happy heart. He was inspired and loved nature-trees, birds, animals and digging in his vegetable and flower gardens in the earlier years. Norm was one of the last of a vanishing breed of artists and hand letterers, a career and hobby which brought him great satisfaction. Most of all, he loved to be talking, laughing and being in the company of his family and friends. It brought him the greatest happiness. Norm was multi-faceted, multi-talented, but most of all people knew him for his animated stories, corny jokes and child-like spirit. He was forever young at heart.

Visitation Wednesday 2 pm – 8pm. In state Thursday 1 pm until the 3 pm Funeral Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.
