Norman Keith Record was born January 15, 1939, to Robert Bruce Record and Muriel Norton Record in Manchester, Iowa. Norm died at age 85 on Saturday, March 23, 2024, of natural causes after a long period of failing health.
Norm graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School (IL) in 1956 and received his BS from Le Tourneau University, Longview TX and is a veteran of the Air Force Reserve. He began working for Ford Motor Company in 1964 and retired in 1997 as a Truck Launch Program Manager. He continued working as a consultant for MSX international for an additional five years. Norm met his loving wife of 51 years, Constance (Connie) Brush Coleman Record while working at Ford's Battery Plant in Shreveport, LA.
For 46 years Norm was a member of the Dearborn Kiwanis Club and served as President, Board Member and Committee Chair. His volunteer service, kindness and thoughtfulness will be greatly missed by all. He was also involved with Free Mason, Shriners and Scottish Rite.
Norm was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dearborn for over 40 years and subsequently joined and was elected an Elder at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife and four daughters-- Sheri Fay May Record, Cindy Lynn Coleman (Nasser) Daher, Roxanne Rene Coleman (Charles) McDonald, and Elizabeth Rose Record Sanchez.
He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home in Dearborn, Michigan. Instate at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m.
