Age 77

Beloved sister of Fred Lucero and best friend of Becki Bangert.  Loving mom of Michael Reardon and cherished grandmother of Michael's daughter, Wren.

Olivia was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and many friends.  She left us with an enduring legacy:  The diaspora of thousands of children that she prepared for life and citizenship as a public school teacher.

She retired from Detroit Public Schools after a long and influential career teaching children at the Lillibridge Elementary School.  Olivia began her career teaching physical education, and she soon transitioned to Kindergarten, ending her career supporting high-needs children of preschool age.  Olivia adored her students, and she worked hard to teach them how to write and discover the joy of reading.

Post retirement, Olivia continued in her service to children and her community.  She worked tirelessly as a loving nanny, and she volunteered in her community's charity thrift store, God's Helping Hands.

In celebration of her life, the family invites friends to Olivia's memorial service on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 3:30 PM.  The service, with a meal for friends and family to immediately follow, is at the Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church, address:  24110 Cherry Hill Street, Dearborn, Michigan 48124."
