Orlando 'Orley' passed away peacefully on February 3, 2021. Orley was born July 27, 1926 in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania to Stephano and Lucia, he was 1 of 6 children; Salvatore (deceased), Dino (deceased), Fredrico, Orlando, Tony and Viola (deceased).
He served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Sagittarius and the USS Chukawan.
Orley met Marie Couture, they married in 1954 and had six sons; Joseph (Bonnie), Stephen (Sue), Thomas, David, Michael (Sue), and Ronald. He worked two jobs for 30+ years at the United States Postal Service and Sears Garage. They spent their family summer vacations in Ludington, Michigan where eventually he retired and lived.
Orley loved the outdoors, He enjoyed fishing, hunting (bow and gun), and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Fin and Feather club where he won man of the year in 2017.
He was blessed with 8 grandchildren; Lori Jean, Amy, Stephen, Thomas, Michael, Kimberly, Brandon and Kyle. He is a great grandfather of 6; Madelyn, Stevie, Vincent, Lilly, Gia, Jade, and one on the way.
Orley was the hardest working person we knew. He loved to eat. The man could eat and eat and not gain an ounce. He loved his wife, sons, and his grandchildren with all his heart. His family feels so blessed to have had him for so many years. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation Monday 1 pm – 7 pm with a 5 pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In state Tuesday 9:15 am until the 10 am Funeral Service at Church of the Divine Child.
