IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pat
Ciarelli
June 17, 1930 – December 17, 2022
Pat was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Patsy Julius Ciarelli was born on June 17, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan. His parents were Nicola and Johanna (Pizzuti) Ciarelli and Pat grew up in a loving, multi-generational, Italian family. On Saturday, December 17, 2022, Our Lord and Savior opened His arms to embrace Pat and called him home. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the age of 92.
Pat was a proud graduate of the Henry Ford Trade School and a proud veteran of the United States Army. He served after World War II in the Corp of Engineers, helping to rebuild Europe. Pat retired in 1999, after 50 years, as an Engineer for the Ford Motor Company. He was a devoted parish member and usher at the Church of the Divine Child. Pat enjoyed attending the many activities of his large family and supported the Divine Child schools, being a former Band Booster President and Men's Club member. He loved sharing his passion for family and work.
Pat was the beloved husband of Claudette (Berard) Ciarelli for the past 20 years. He was also devoted to his first wife, the late Bernice (DeClercq) Ciarelli for 37 years and their 9 children. Dear father of Robert (Patty), Gary (Joan), Ken (Diane), Deborah, Michael (Kristen), Jacqueline, Tom (Susan), Jim (Traci) and Cheryl (David) Balash. Loving Grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister, Florence (Donald) Radzwion. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pat knew he was blessed and thanked Our Lord at every family event with an impromptu, touching prayer of thanks. His family will always be grateful for the love he gave.
