Patricia Ann (Pat) Kobylinski, age 77, of Garden City, MI, passed away on May 16, 2022.

Beloved wife of the late Wally for nearly 57 beautiful years. Devoted mom of Rebecca, Sheila (Dan) Acker and Natalie (the late Gary) Proctor. Cherished meemaw "Meems" of Dale, Neil and Anna. Sister of Sherry (Joe) Hubbard, Pam Lawler, Debbie Tedder, John (Mary Ann) Adams, James Adams, and the late Linda Hagen, Jennie Snapp, Jerry Adams and Douglas Adams. Sister-in-law of Bill Snapp, Donna Adams, Peter Podrasky and the late Jeanie Podrasky and Albert Hagen. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Pat was born and raised in Detroit where she met the love of her life, Wally. They were married in 1964 and moved to Garden City where they raised their three daughters. As the oldest of 10 children, Pat was a natural leader. She loved to organize family celebrations and holidays, taking care of the details and ensuring that everyone had a good time. She was the glue that held the family together.

She was also the consummate caregiver. After helping to raise her nine siblings, she became a devoted mom to her three daughters. She did everything for her girls, ensuring that they had every opportunity: Girl Scouts, softball, swimming, band practice, dance lessons. She allowed her girls to try anything, with one rule: Finish what you start. No quitting allowed. When grandkids arrived, she doted after them and helped to care for them when needed. And, she was devoted to her husband, Wally, attentively caring for him through his long illness.

She had a love for life and was constantly on the go. In addition to frequent gatherings with her friends or the "Red Hatters", she loved to travel. She was employed by Party Animal Travel where she was able to share this passion with all her customers. Prior to working at Party Animal Travel, she worked for many years at Kmart where she forged some long lasting friendships.

Pat was very blessed with a large circle of loyal friends, many stemming back to her childhood. She played in her pinochle club for 47 years. Always the life of the party, she was fun, thoughtful and generous. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 3pm – 7pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Road, Garden City. In state Friday, June 24, 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 31530 Beechwood, Garden City.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital .
