Obituary

Paula Marie Gnacke, age 53, of Westland, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2026.

Paula was the adored daughter of William and Emily (Borja) Gnacke Jr.; dear sister of Pamela (Craig) Bar and Peggy (Bill) Egan; and beloved mother of Jason (Sarah) Quick Jr., Amye (Adrian) Gnacke, and Andrew (Olivia) Nemeth. She was the cherished grandmother of Kirstin, Eden, and Alora; loving aunt of Amber, Alex, Autumn, Alannah, Abrianna, Abigail, Aurora, Liam, and Wyatt; and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Paula was preceded in death by her beloved Jason Quick Sr., her grandparents William and Fay Gnacke and Felix and Tomasa Borja, her Aunt Fonda Gnacke and her dear friend Lynn Robertson.

Paula was born in Farmington Hills on October 1, 1972, to William and Emily Gnacke, the eldest of their three daughters.

Growing up, Paula enjoyed figure skating, playing softball, participating in color guard, and spending time with family and friends especially with her grandmother Fay and her aunt Fonda.

Shortly after high school, Paula welcomed her first child, Jason Quick Jr. Five years later, she welcomed her daughter, Amye Marie Gnacke, followed another five years later by her son, Andrew William Nemeth. Anyone who knew Paula knew that her children were her greatest pride and joy.

In her adult life, Paula enjoyed crafting, spending time with her granddaughters, and caring for her parents, finding joy in the simple moments spent with those she loved most. Paula loved all things pink and flamingo; she often joked about being known as "The Crazy Flamingo Lady".

Paula was also a passionate patriot. She served as Chairperson of the Wayne 12th Congressional District Republican Committee for three years, leading with compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication. She loved her country, her state, and her community, always striving to leave them better for future generations, especially for her granddaughters and family.

Paula will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched.

Fly high with all the flamingos, sweet Paula.
