Peter A. Michelini, age 96, passed from earth to his eternal, heavenly home on Thursday, October 18, 2012. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty, to whom he was married for 61 years. He was the loving father of a predeceased newborn son to whom he referred as his "angel in heaven". Peter is also the beloved father of Arthur(Cathy), Thomas(Iris), Philip, Barbara Bouckaert(Craig), Angelina(Dennis Nitek), David, and James(Gail). He's the grandfather of six, great-grandfather of nine and great-great grandfather of one. All of the children just adored "Gramps".
Peter is survived by his only living sibling, Adeline who resides in Florida and many nephews, nieces and their children. His large family always speaks of him with much affection and admiration. He will be greatly missed!

Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 21 at 3pm at the John N. Santeiu Funeral home, 1139 N. Inkster Road, Garden City. The rosary will be prayed at 7pm followed by personal eulogies. In state Monday, October 22 at 9:30am until the funeral mass which will be celebrated at 10am at St. Priscilla Church, 19120 Purlingbrook, Livonia (north of 7 Mile, west of Middlebelt).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant House, a shelter for homeless teenagers. Peter was a strong advocate for the protection of the young and vulnerable members of our society. [Donations can also be made to the Congregation of St. Joseph. His sister, Sr. Perpetua, was a Sister of St. Joseph.]
