Age 94

Phyllis (Feliksa) was born September 10, 1928, to Jan Musial and Eva Tecza, she passed away peacefully on February 13, 2023. Predeceased by her loving husband, John Lapko, daughter Cynthia LaFortune, and granddaughter Michelle Lapko. Mother of Fred (Roylyn), and Michael (Janet), grandchildren Bryan, Brad, Eric, Kristopher, Brandy, Mary, and Faith. Great grandchildren, Brandon, Noah, Brad Jr., and Violet. Phyllis is survived by her sister Janina (Jenny) Pavlik, Predeceased by her siblings Alfreda and Stefan Musial.

Phyllis was born in Poland and emigrated with her parents and siblings to Argentina in 1937, arriving the U.S. in 1940. She lived most of her life in Allen Park, MI and raised 3 children while working as a bookkeeper. She is known for her Polish cooking skills, both at home and at her former parish, SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in SW Detroit where she headed both the ladies auxiliary and the parish council.

Visitation Saturday, 10 am until the 12 pm Funeral Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit, MI.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Heart to Heart Hospice.
