Phyllis passed away unexpectedly May 12, 2018 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Anthony (Tony) Zakalowski, married for 46 years. Loving mother of Catherine (Jim), Richard (Armie), Kenneth (Yvonne), Jeanne (Jim), Alan, Carol (Craig) and Nancy (Herc). Cherished grandmother of  Laura (Mike), Michelle (Kevin), Douglas (Sandrine), James, Caitlin (Jacoby) and Heather. Proud great grandmother of Amelia, Vivian, Mia, Isabelle and Camden. Dearest sister of six siblings and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis retired from a long career at Eaton Corporation, was a longtime Garden City resident, a dedicated volunteer at Beaumont Hospital (Oakwood, Annapolis), a member of St.Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish (St. Dunstan) Ladies Altar Sodality, member of the Womens Auxiliary Romanowski VFW post 6896 and a member of TOPS Michigan 869.

Visitation is Friday 2-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd Garden City, MI 48135. In state Saturday 9:30am followed by the 10am Funeral Service at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish 31530 Beechwood Garden City, MI 48135.
