Obituary

Age 48

Wife of David Whitlock. Beloved daughter of Martha 'Marg' and the late George J. Nagy. Loving sister of Paul (Cathy) Nagy, and the late Suzanne Nagy. Sister-in-law of Dan Tickvart. Aunt of Jake (Madison) Nagy, Katie (Leighton) Miller, and Jonathan Nagy. Great aunt of Noa. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rachel was multi-talented, having worked as a chef at various fine dining establishments in the Detroit area. She was trained in classical piano, as well as playing bassoon and cello. She felt her mission was to preserve the music of the 20's and 30's. Her musical career in garage Rock began with a challenge to sing with a group consisting of her friends after criticizing their singer. This developed into her being co-founder of the Detroit Cobras. The group has toured throughout the country and internationally, putting out numerous CDs. Music was in the very essence of her soul. Several of the CD covers are the results of her artistic abilities.
