Obituary

Raymond F. Boehringer, age 78, of Caseville, died on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon, Michigan.
Ray was born December 5, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Robinson) Boehringer. He graduated from Lowry High School, Dearborn, in 1950. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. On May 29, 1954 he married Marilyn J. Rowed in Allen Park.

He retired from the Garden City Police Department as a Captain in 1983. He was a former member of the Garden City City Council, Garden City Planning Commission, and the Garden City Rotary. Having had a place in Caseville since 1964, he moved here permanently in 2001. He was a member of the Caseville Retirement Club.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn; children Raymond (Helen) of St. Cloud, Florida, Daniel (Karen) of Garden City and Diane (Brian Ferris) DeFranceschi of Westland; grandchildren Jodi, Jamie, Jennifer, David, Dana, Jackie and Darren; great-grandchildren Brycen, Jayce, Evan, Cameron, Hayden and Alexis; brother Robert (Bonnie) Boehringer of Caseville and sister-in-law Carolyn (Claude) Wyatt of Imlay City.
He was preceded in death by his brothers George and Joseph and sister Betty.
Graveside services will be Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia on Tuesday.

Visitation will be 2 to 8 pm Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Santeiu and Son Funeral Home in Garden City.
