Raymond "Ray" L. Gilbert "Gillis" passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 81 years old. Beloved husband of Viola Gilbert. Loving father of Michael Gilbert, Kenny (Suzanne) Gilbert, and Steven (Erica) Gilbert. Cherished grandpa of Ryan, Trevor, Victoria, Cody, Hayley, Myiah, Steven, and Chase. Dearest son of the late Dave Gilbert and Rose Gilbert. Dear brother of David (Margaret) Gilbert and Jim (Barbara) Gilbert. Gillis served in the United States Army.

Visitation will take place at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home, 2640 Monroe Boulevard, Dearborn Heights, Michigan 48124 on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
