Remberto 'Bert' Gomez-Baez Age 60
Beloved husband of Roseann (Polovino) for 37 years. Loving father of Christopher (Olga) and Amy Lynn (Julio Ayala). Adored grandfather of Jacob, Brianna, Isabella, Aidan, Joell and Sonya. Proud son of Remberto Sr. and Ana Gomez. Brother of Raul (Evelyn), Rick (Susan) and the late Robert. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Served in the US Army 82nd Airborne. Member of the Wolverine Airborne Assoc., 30+ years CWA Union Member and served on the Union Executive Board at AT&T, Chair on the Wayne County Foster Care Review Board #8, Usher at the St. Sebastian Catholic Church, member of Phi Theta Kapppa Honor Society, and Reserve Police Officer for Dearborn Heights.
Visitation Monday 2-8pm and Tuesday 12-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City(between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill). In state Wednesday 10:30am followed by the 11am Mass at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 3965 Merrick St., Dearborn Heights (Between Monroe St. & Pelham, South of Dartmouth).
Family suggests memorials Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled Veterans or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
