Beloved husband of the late Rose. Dear father of James (Jewel), Patricia Hayes, Robert Jr. (Yvonne) and Judy M. Penny. Grandfather of Clyviane (Bryan) Townsend, Annette Barnes, Renee (Ben) Walton, John Smith II, Fiona and Karen Simmons. Great grandfather of Bryan Jr., TeAnne, Amiri, Roosevelt, Lauren, Jehon, Alexus and Jamal. Brother of Henry Penny, Mary Watkins, Vertrilla Givens and Mae Byrd. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation Thursday 2-8pm with Funeral Service Friday 10am at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 N. Inkster Rd., Garden City, (between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill).
