Obituary

It is with immense sadness, along with great shock and disbelief, that we announce the passing of Robert Supric, Age 55. After being diagnosed in December of 2023, Robert fought an intense and courageous battle with a very aggressive form of Metastatic Prostate Cancer. He passed away peacefully on August 19th with his family and friends by his side.

Rob was born on June 10th, 1970, to John and Diane Supric. Loving Husband to Beata, Father to Nicole, Son-in-Law to the late Barbara Stocki, Nephew to Nancy (Mike) Savage and Larry (Mary) Pederson, Cousin to Michael (Abeer) Savage, Jon (Laura) Savage, Marcy (Luke) Trantina and Kevin (Alicia) Pederson and their kids. Rob has lived in Dearborn for his entire life. He graduated from Dearborn High School, got his bachelor's degree at University of Michigan - Dearborn, and went on to become an Information Technology Analyst Engineer for Oakwood Hospital in 1994. He was incredibly smart and had been with the company through all of its changes for 31 years - from Oakwood, to Beaumont, to Corewell Health.

Robert met his wife Beata in 1991 while both working at Arbor Drugs, now CVS. They started dating in '92 and got married in '96. In 1997, they had their daughter Nicole, who he loved tremendously. They were married for a little over 29 years and were absolutely the most perfect pair, an exact image of what love is supposed to look like.

Rob was the most incredible Husband, Father, Son, and Son-in-Law - a true family man, and extraordinarily handy! He was the fixer of all things and most certainly the glue to the family. He was unquestionably the most calm, easygoing, patient, loving, caring, understanding, forgiving, gentle soul. Rob planned many trips, their favorites being up at Canadian Lakes. He loved golfing, fishing, and grilling. He spent many mornings sitting on the back porch with the dogs and a cup of coffee, watching the bird feeder. Many days were spent putzing around in the garage and in his basement workshop. He and his daughter found such a thrill in picking through things at garage sales, estate sales, antique shops, and flea markets. Rob even developed a hobby of collecting coins through the years, and his favorite show was American Pickers. Just last year he, his wife, and daughter really started getting into football, watching every single Lion's game together, and already having such high anticipation for the following season.

He and his daughter also shared many other common interests, like animals and music. Rob always wanted to hear the latest album and always found a way to incorporate lyrics into daily situations in a funny way just to make you laugh. His humor and incredible wit were utilized daily. He knew how to brighten a room and always found the positive aspects in challenging circumstances, offering hope and solutions when things got tough. One of his all-time favorite songs was Safe and Sound by Capital Cities.

Most importantly, Robert taught us to always appreciate each day, to enjoy the little things and live in the moment, and to never hold anger in your heart. He was so loved and will be deeply missed. Let this be a celebration, as he is no longer suffering and Heaven is so lucky to have him.

Dad, if love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. I love you so much, buddy. You'll always be my best friend. God Bless You.

- Nicole

My Robert, the love of my life, I'll never ever stop loving you. I'll always be your Schmoopy. Thank you for everything.
