Rose Mary Mahitka. Age 77. Passed away February 13, 2014 in El Paso, Texas. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Mahitka. Daughter of Ignacio and Emelia Carrizales. Loving mother of Margaret (the late Mike) Keith, Michelle Rodriguez and Michael Mahitka. Cherished grandma of Michael (Kelli) Keith, Keith Mahitka, Matthew (Rhonda) Keith, and Martin (fiancé: Katie Ashby) Keith. Proud great grandma of Mariah Rose Keith. Dearest sister of Juanita (Rodolfo) Munoz and the late Martin Carrizales, Genevieve (Julian) Cruz, Josephine (Ignacio) Hernandez, Henry Carrizales, Victoria Carrizales, and Beatrice Carrizales. Dear sister-in-law of Vera (the late Martin) Carrizales and Emily (the late Harry) Kaczmarek. Loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Rose Mary will be remembered by her family, as well as many cousins, friends and extended family. She was a generous and loving person, always smiling and ready to go anywhere. A great sports fan, especially boxing and her beloved Detroit Tigers. She loved Mexican music and probably gave a big "grito" when she got to Heaven. She will be truly missed.

Visitation Wednesday, February 19th at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Instate 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 20th at St. Andre Bessette Catholic Church, 4250 West Jefferson Avenue, Ecorse, Michigan 48229 until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
