Our Dear Mother, Ruth Ann Kuzewski, left us Thursday evening, November 3, 2022 to join our late Father, Matthew J. Kuzewski Jr., in Heaven.

We could sit here and list out all the people she was related to, the ones gone before her and the ones she left behind, but that wouldn't really tell you much about her other than she was very loved which should be obvious.

When we were little, we used to think she could do anything, and as we got older, we realized she probably actually could.She could sew authentic historical costumes for my dad, bake the best apple pies for my brother, and grow the most amazing gardens.The epitome of a wife and a mother, her life was her family and we felt it, especially every night when she'd tuck us in with the promise, "see you in a while, crocodile."

She could tell you every detail of every MASH episode, reference obscure facts out of thin air, and read faster than any human should.Murder mysteries were her favorite.

She'd been all over the world.Seattle, Oahu, London, Paris, Turks and Caicos.She's seen the Sistine Chapel and met the Pope, twice.But her greatest happiness came from her grandchildren, Felix, Mae, Matthew IV, Annabelle, Elizabeth, and Alexandra.

She was also a pain in the ass who was stubbornly independent. She'd never admit she was unhappy or sick, even during the last few weeks when it became obvious to us that she was dying; she'd assure you she was okay and felt fine.

Now that she's gone, we're left with a painful ache that will endure until we see her again.In the meantime, she can enjoy some quiet time with our dad, until we join them both and start driving them nuts up there.

Instead of flowers (which she'd complain were a waste), we respectfully request donations to St Linus Catholic School in Dearborn Heights.As a former teacher, we think she'd like that.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will be a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Instate 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022 at St. Linus Catholic Church, 6466 N. Evangeline Street, Dearborn Heights, Michigan 48127 until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights. Michigan.
