IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sam
Diprima
August 21, 1941 – April 18, 2018
Sam passed away on April 18, 2018 to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Beloved husband of Suzanne for 47 years. Loving father of Albert (Corinne) and Philip (Laurie). Proud Papa of Allisa, Cristiano and Preston. Brother-in-law of Tom (Judy) Fletke and Mike (Jody) Egelton. Uncle of Kyle (Stephanie) Fletke, Ryan (Cassy) Fletke, and Dayne (Melissa) Fletke. Also survived by daughter Maria (Jason) Savransky, their son Toran and her daughters and grandchildren. In addition to family, Sam was dearly loved and will be missed by many dear friends.
He was an extremely dedicated husband, father, and papa. Always putting the needs and concerns of the family as his first priority. Al and Philip are the great sons, husbands, and fathers that they are because Sam taught them many life lessons. For thirty years, Sam worked for the City of Dearborn Heights Police Department. He steadily rose through the ranks due to the hard work and his competitive spirit. Always believing that if you're going to do something, "give it your all and do it right". In July, 1989 he was promoted to Chief of Police. Remembered and respected by those who worked under his leadership as a stern, fair and honest man. Sam received many blessings from God. One of his most cherished was that he was able to have an active and influential role with granddaughter, Allisa. They truly had a special bond. Miraculously, he was able to meet his beautiful precious grandsons, Cristiano and Preston. The babies always brought a smile to his face. Even though he is gone from this earthly place and our sight, he will never be forgotton.
The impact you made on so many people's lives is truly amazing. Enjoy your peace until we meet again…
