Sandra Jean Eastman, 75, of Dearborn Heights, MI passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her large and loving family on March 7, 2021 after battling dementia.

She was born Sandra Jean Socha on November 13, 1945 in Battle Creek, Michigan.  She was daughter of the late Arnold and Kathryn Socha and the eldest of 7 children.   Sandra grew up in Detroit and was pushing her younger sister in a baby carriage when she met Ronald Eastman (aka Skip).

Skip and Sandra were married on May 1, 1965 and had 55 wonderful years together.  They had six children Kathy Huffman (Richard), Shelly Duke (Erik), David Eastman (Corrie), Ann Hargis (Rich), Mary Fonseca (Rob), Margret Eastman and fluffy fur baby, Baxter.  Sandra also has twelve amazing grand children who were her pride and joy - Stefanie and Zackery, Grace, Brooklyn and Bailee, Drew, Mason, Beckett and Teagen, Abby and Richie, Livvie, and fur grandbaby, Charley.  Bonus grandchildren include Rachel, Sarah, Amanda and Tyson.   Sandra made a career of raising her children and loving her way into the hearts of countless others who also refer to her as "Mom".   She welcomed everyone into her home and always treated them as family.

In her spare time, Sandra loved to sew, quilt, bake and paint.  She and Skip loved to travel to Port Huron for day trips or drive to see lighthouses and covered bridges.

The family has been comforted by the thoughts of her reunion with her parents Arnold and Kathryn Socha and her loving in-laws Fred and Lillian Eastman.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to be made to the Beaumont Health Hospice.
