Sharon Lynn Owen, age 80, passed on to heavenly repose on August 25, 2021.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary C. Owen.Loving mother of Michael Patrick Owen.Devoted daughter of the late William Patrick Harkins and Wilma Maxine Woods Harkins and dearest sister of her late brothers, Dennis Patrick (late Elizabeth), Donald R. and Michael R. Harkins.

Sharon was born in Buckhannon, West Virginia in 1941.She moved with her family to Dearborn, Michigan in 1953.She graduated from Fordson High School in 1959.In 1967 she married Gary. The love of two grew to a family of three in 1968 with the addition of a beautiful son, Michael, to whom she was a loving and devoted mother until the very end.

After Gary's death in 1988, Sharon reentered the workforce and worked at several jobs before finally finding her calling as a sales and marketing professional at Henry Ford Village, a senior living community. Her gentle and friendly character, warm smile, and compassionate approach towards the countless people she met and served, along with her dedication and commitment to her employer and coworkers, earned her the respect and admiration of management, her colleagues and the numerous residents who crossed her path every day. After 15 years of exceptional service, she retired in May 2008 to the disappointment of the Henry Ford Village community, her home away from home.

Sharon spent retirement enjoying her days with her son by her side, taking long car rides, tending to her rose garden, and attending church functions in faith and fellowship. Her family and friends will forever remember her ever-present smile and twinkle in her eyes, her soft-spoken nature, and her caring spirit. She will be missed by the many people who knew and loved her, but most of all by her faithful son, Michael.

With all of Michael's family now dancing among the angels in heaven, he will need the support of his angels here on earth more than ever to help him through these difficult times.Given Michael is unable to drive or work due to medical issues, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and assist where you can.
