It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Rose Smola announce her passing on her 83rd birthday, Sunday May 5, 2024.  She leaves behind her beloved husband of 65 years Clarence Adam. Dear mother of Thomas, Maureen (Don) Larsen, Mark (Rochelle), Samantha (J.R.) DeLaRosa, and the late Michael. Loving grandmother of Bradley (Becky) Smola, Marissa (Ryan) VanNest, Nick Larsen, Melissa Larsen, and Anthony DeLaRosa. Loving great grandmother of Mason, Hunter, Willow, Ivy, Isla, Milo and Remi. Sister of Randell Owens, Roy (Florence) Owens, Jerry Owens, Cheryl (Darrell) Ruth, and the late Robert Owens.

Sharon retired from Ford Motor Company where she joyfully worked for many years.

Sharon loved her family and friends. You could count on her to be at every birthday party, wedding, baby shower, cousin luncheon, class reunion and backyard barbeque. We could always count on a fun family gathering at grandma and grandpa Owens house, starting off with Sharon's treat of chicken and kielbasa and ending with a game of spoons or cards. She was the true definition of SOCIAL BUTTERFLY and loved every minute of it. She greeted you with the biggest smile and when leaving left you with warm wishes.

She enjoyed a good mystery book or movie, crossword puzzle, flowers and kept all the wildlife well fed. Sharon's dad was a very proficient gardener from whom she learned to keep even the most stubborn plants alive.

Sharon will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Memorial Visitation Thursday May 9th, 1 pm until the 3:30 pm Memorial Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
