Obituary

Shirley Julianne Lohman, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Shirley’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her three daughters, Dawn, Jenni, and Tracey. She was a loving grandmother to Elizabeth, Mahlon, Julien, Ronald, Jolie, Heather, and Hannah, and a proud great-grandmother to Ayden and Ah'Layla. She is also survived by her sister, Janet, along with many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben, and by her parents, Thomas and Dorothy Ludwig. Their memories remained an important part of her life and story.

She found happiness in the simple, beautiful things in life. She loved nature, butterflies, sunflowers, peonies, and mums, and she had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Gracie, and her cat, Bad Cat Lexi, who brought her companionship and many cherished memories.

More than anything, Shirley will be remembered for the love she gave to the people around her. She was deeply loved by her family and by many whose lives she touched. Her presence, her memories, and the love she shared will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Memorial visitation, Friday 4-7pm with a 5:30pm Memorial Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc., 1139 N. Inkster Road, Garden City (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill).
