Stanley T. Hawkins

DEARBORN - Stanley (Stan) T. Hawkins, 86, died peacefully with family at his side after an extended illness September 12, 2023 at Beaumont Hospital Dearborn (Oakwood).He was born September 23, 1936, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Melvin and Annabelle (Smith) Hawkins.

Stan graduated from Waynesfield High School (Waynesfield, OH) and retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years of service at Lima Engine Plant and Dearborn Engine Plant.Stan loved family, gardening, sports & the outdoors and enjoyed a long, very active retirement.He was an avid golfer with two holes in one, enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, volleyball, pickleball and enjoyed life-long memories of outings and adventures with his brother Mark. Stan delivered Meals on Wheels in Dearborn for 30 years.

In addition to his wife Valera (Babcock), he was predeceased by his step-mother Jewel (Hagen), brother Mervin and sister Theresa (Neal).Stanley is survived by his; children Barry Hawkins, and his wife, Teresa, Elizabeth Edwards, Cynthia Bridges, and her late husband, Ernie Bridges, David Hawkins, and his wife, Lena; brothers Mark, Johnny, Michael, William and Norman; sisters Rebecca, Melanie, Alegra and Kimberly; 15 grand kids, 15 great grand kids, numerous nieces and nephews and cherished friend Bridget.

An internment service will be held for family and close friends Michigan Memorial Gardens, 32163 Huron River Drive, Flat Rock, MI48134. Those who wish to remember Stan in a special way may make gifts in his memory to:
