Stephen (Steve) J Beattie, 56, died unexpectedly November 17, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital from complications of Covid-19. He was born April 13, 1964, at Scott Air Force Base, IL, the son of William Albert Beattie and Sondra June (Holcomb) Beattie.

Steve graduated from Novi High School, class of 1982. He later attended Specs Howard Broadcasting School where he met several good friends and found great enjoyment announcing high school football games. He also belonged to the local Moose Lodge.

Steve is predeceased by both his mother and father. Surviving are his daughter, Sarah (Beattie) Dixon and her husband, Wesley, his son Jacob Beattie and his wife, Courtney, three grandchildren, Eralynn (Sarah), Braxton and Kensley (Jacob); one sister, Stephenie Sheardown and her boyfriend Drew Discher, one niece, Krystle Sheardown and great niece Jordyn, several cousins and Aunts and Uncles.

Steve is also survived by his girlfriend of eight years, Mary Broderick Boyer, who lived with Steve.

Steve loved to spend time with family and friends, singing karaoke, playing board and card games, laughing and making memories. When it is safe to gather, we will hold a Celebration of Life in his honor, likely in the Spring.
