Age 82.

Dearest son of the late Anna and Steve Taranowski. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Marsh) for 49 years. Loving father of Paula (Nick) Simpson and Steven A. Cherished grandfather 'Poppa' of Emily and Owen. Caring brother of Deanna and the late Paulette. Brother-in-law of Al (Kathi) Marsh, Chris (Pam) Marsh, and the late Bill Marsh. Dearest uncle of Paul Cramer, Pam Cramer Griffin, Michael (Darlene) Marsh, Michele (Gary) Marsh Richmond, Allen (Rhonda) Marsh, Steve (JoAnne) Marsh, Debbie (Matt) Marsh Gibb, Darrin (Heather) Marsh, Dawn (Bob) Marsh Wilson, Christopher Marsh, Jr., and Matt (Erin) Marsh. He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, and cousins, who gave him the nickname of 'Snookie'. He also had many wonderful and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Steve went to St. Luke's Grade School and Catholic Central High School.

He liked to bowl, golf, and play cards.

He owned Taran's Bakery in Redford Township until 1986 and worked very hard, especially during the holidays.
