Age 88.

Beloved father of Sylvester (Velvet), Cathy Malone, and Mariam (Jarrett) Logan.  Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Charles (Kyleia) Malone, Chad (Jasmin) Malone, Christian Malone, Jarrett Logan, and Jeremiah Logan. Proud great grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Wilbert (Mary), Theodore (Carolyn) and Elaine (Walter) Andrews.

Sylvester proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was also an educator and principal for Inkster Public Schools. He enjoyed coaching high school baseball, football, and many other activities. Prior to his time with Inkster Public Schools, Sylvester was an educator at Saint Elmo High School in Mobile, Alabama. He was a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Visitation Friday 2-8pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Road, Garden City (Between Ford Road and Cherry Hill). Family Hour Saturday 9:00 AM followed by the 10:00 AM Funeral Service at Westminster Church of Detroit, 17567 Hubbell Avenue (North of Outer Drive).
