Sylvia Gurka Age 79 October 15, 2013 suddenly but full of love and independence.
Beloved wife of the late Leonard. Loving mother of Andrew, John, Stephen (Kristen) and Christianna (Mark) Jackson. Most loving grandmother of Brooke, Katelynn, Kyle, Lance and Megan.
Mrs. Gurka was a proud graduate of Wayne State University and was a dedicated teacher for over 25 years in the Detroit metro area. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Funeral service Friday 9:30am at Church of the Divine Child, 1055 N. Silvery Lane at Wilson in Dearborn.
