IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Teresa 'Terry'
Bagrowski
January 20, 1929 – September 26, 2021
On Sunday, September 26, 2021, our beloved mother, Teresa, passed away peacefully at 6:30 pm at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan at the age of 92.
Teresa 'Terry' was born to Alex and Helen Bombalski in Detroit, MI. She had a wonderful loving family of 9 brothers and sisters. She graduated from High School in 1947. She married Norman Kobylka on September 30, 1950 and moved to Garden City. She worked at the National Bank of Detroit for many years while raising four children with Norman. After Norman's passing in 1972 at only 45 years of age, she found love again and married Walt Kowalski. Walt also passed after only 5 years of marriage. Years later, she met her husband Alphonse 'Al' Bagrowski and they were married for over 35 years. She truly was blessed to have 'Al' in her life as her soul mate and partner. She was so very happy to have met him. They shared a wonderful life together polka dancing, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Craig Kobylka, Norma Orr (significant other, Steve) Larry Kobylka (wife Sandi), and Kenneth 'Ken' Kobylka (wife Debbie); grandchildren of Jacob 'Jake' Orr, Jennifer Orr, Norman Kobylka, Bryan Kobylka, Spencer Kobylka, Taylor Kobylka and great grandson Mason and Sister Virginia Wirth and brother-in-law of John 'Jack' Evasic.
Teresa 'Terry' loved life and loved all her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She was very blessed and was a devout Catholic. Our mom influenced so many people and will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, generosity, and loving support. Her influence will remain in our hearts forever. She not only loved polka dancing, traveling cards, etc.; she loved her crossword puzzles, needlepoint, cooking (excellent cook), Las Vegas (she always won gambling) and just having fun.
Teresa 'Terry' loved her Polka Booster Club and was devoted to making sure all the dances were coordinated to the tee. She enjoyed so many dances, picnics, festivals, etc. with all her family and friends in the club. She was not only a proud member of the Polka Booster's Club of America, but a proud member of the Carl E. Stitt Post, Slovene American Club, Ohio based clubs, TAPS and more.
