IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theresa
Capatina
June 26, 1930 – February 19, 2026
Visitation
Santeiu Funeral Home
2:00 - 5:00 pm (Eastern time)
With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Theresa Jean Capatina, who entered eternal rest on February 19, 2026, surrounded by her adoring family.
Born in 1930, Theresa lived a life defined by devotion, to her faith, to her family, and to the enduring love that shaped generations. On April 23, 1955, she married the love of her life, Liviu I. Capatina. Their marriage was rooted in faith, strength, and unwavering partnership, and remained a steady example of commitment and grace until Liviu’s passing on February 9, 2008.
Theresa was a devoted and loving mother to Lee, Michael, and Gene (Lisa). Her children were her pride, and she guided them with wisdom, patience, and unconditional love.
She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Anthony, Samantha, Natalie, Nick, Victoria, Michael, Alexandrea, Liviana, Christian, and the late Jillian, who remained forever cherished in her heart.
She was also a beautiful and loving aunt, great-aunt, and great-grandmother to many more who were blessed by her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.
Theresa’s greatest joy was her family. She celebrated every milestone, prayed for every need, and offered comfort in every season of life. Her home was a place of gathering, her table always welcoming, and her embrace a refuge. Through quiet strength and steadfast faith, she created traditions that will continue for generations.
Her family is her legacy, living proof of how deeply and faithfully she loved. The values she instilled, the stories she shared, and the love she gave so freely will continue to guide and sustain those she leaves behind.
Though her absence leaves an ache in our hearts, her presence will forever be felt in the bonds she nurtured and the love she poured into her family.
She is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
Visitation Sunday 2-5pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc., 1139 N. Inkster Road, Garden City (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill).
