Thomas Robert Best. Passed peacefully on Friday, June 12th, 2015. Thomas lived a full life. Born in Jackson, he pulled himself up by his bootstraps to become a college graduate, veteran, friend and a teacher, coach, counselor in Melvindale School District for 40 years. He was a loving father and mentor. His family meant everything to him. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, his three sons and their wives, Matt and Kelly, Kurt and Renee and Erik and Jennifer as well as eight grandchildren. He is at peace and on his way up North.

Visitation Monday 2-8pm with a 7pm evening service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City (Between Ford Rd. & Cherry Hill). In State 11am until 11:30 Funeral Mass at Divine Child Catholic Church 1055 N. Silvery Ln, Dearborn
