Thomas W. Mackie, Sr., age 97, July 18, 2014.
Beloved husband of the late Katherine. Loving father of Robert (Shirley), Thomas Jr. (Charlotte), Janet (Robert) Graham and Steven. Dear grandfather of 10, great-grandfather of 25 and great-great-grandfather of 2. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and a beloved great-grandchild.
Mr. Mackie was a painter for Detroit Public Schools for 31 years and a proud patriot. He was also a member of the Moose and Eagles. He was dearly loved and will be very deeply missed.
Visitation Thursday 2-8 pm and Friday 10 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am Funeral Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., (between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill), Garden City. Memorials suggested to Reverence Hospice.
