Thomas W. McAteer 'Taso' entered into eternal rest on July 20, 2023 and is now in the arms of our Lord. He is preceded in death by his faithful companions Irish and Dublin. He was the loving son of the late James and Helen McAteer, Cherished brother of the late John 'Jack' (Eileen) McAteer, and James 'Ben' (Pat) McAteer. Beloved uncle of Jim McAteer, Trish (Duke) McAteer-Wilson, Tim (Melissa) McAteer, Dot Villaire, Kathy (Scott) McAteer-Taft, and the late Jean McAteer-Falvo. He will be dearly missed by many great, and great-great nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends, especially those he fathered through love.

Visitation Sunday, August 06, 2023, from 2-7pm with an evening Rosary at John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, Garden City, 1139 N. Inkster Road (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill). In state Monday, August 07, 2023, from 10:30am until the 11am Funeral Service at St. Valentine Church, 25881 Dow Road, Redford (South of 5 Mile on the West side of Beech Daly).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Tail Waggers Animal Rescue or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
