Thomas Rolland Thibodeau, age 77, of Garden City Michigan passed away April 28, 2015, a few days shy of May 2nd, completing what he would have called his 78th year. Tom passed away peacefully on the afternoon of the 28th with his wife beside him after a long, tiring battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice (nee Allam). His sons, Deacon James (Jennifer), Christopher (Patti), Michael, Timothy (Elsie) and Fr. Scott. His grandchildren, Anthony, Ian, Monica, Sara, Nicolette, Christian, Nicholas, and Abigail, all whom called him "Papa."; His brothers, William, Dennis and Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents Jean and Joseph "Rollie."

Tom worked for Ford Motor Company for 43 years before retiring in 1997. After that, Tom never again voluntarily wore a necktie. A man of God and family, he also loved golf, firm handshakes, football and a perfectly manicured front lawn. His presence at the head of the dinner table, in the only wooden chair with armrests, will be forever missed and never forgotten. Tom will be eternally loved.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-8pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City. (Between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill.) On Monday he will be in state at 9am until the 10am Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 32340 Pierce, Beverly Hills (West of Woodward and South of 14 Mile).
