Timothy A. Zigulis, cherished husband, devoted father, loving brother, and beloved friend, departed this life on January 4, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on June 20, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, Tim left a significant mark on the hearts of those he encountered, living a life filled with compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his community and family.
Tim was proud of his career as a truck driver, a role that allowed him to navigate the open roads while pursuing a passion for adventure and freedom. Yet, it was not just in his profession that Tim shined; he was a true staple in the community. He devoted countless hours to volunteer work, always ready to lend a helping hand. Tim's love for St. Dunstan Parish in Garden City was evident, where he could be found flipping pancakes for the Mother's Day Breakfast. Or greeting parishioners at the door as an usher, at St. Thomas the Apostle, welcoming everyone with a warm smile.
His compassion extended far beyond the church walls. Tim belonged to the Barcelona Alhambra Caravan and worked tirelessly for special needs children, embodying a spirit of kindness and generosity. Volunteering at the Autos for Autism for the Burger School was just another reflection of his selflessness. He believed in making a difference in the lives of others and spent many memorable moments surrounded by loved ones, often sharing laughter and joy. Even after his passing, Tim made other people's needs a priority by being a donor with Gift of Life.
Tim’s greatest joy came from his family. He was an exceptional father to his sons, Timothy Zigulis, Jr. and Bradley Zigulis, and took pride in being actively involved in their lives. Tim would frequently take time off from work to accompany them on field trips, cherishing these special moments of togetherness. For 17 years, he helped in the dressing room for his son's dance recitals, where everyone knew who he was. A passionate wrestling fan, he created lasting memories with his boys, attending events that united them in shared excitement and bonding.
Tim leaves behind his beloved wife, Kelly Zigulis, alongside his sons, Timothy Jr. and Bradley, who will carry forward his legacy of love, dedication, and community spirit. He is also survived by his dear sister, Kelly (Wally) Pasternak, and brother, Robert Zigulis, Jr., as well as his sister-in-law, Cheryle Wein, and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends who will remember him fondly.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Sandra and Robert Zigulis, as well as his brother-in-law, Mark Ketko, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. Tim leaves behind a treasure trove of warm memories and an indelible impact on the lives of all who knew him. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and steadfast devotion to his loved ones will forever echo in the lives he touched. Though he has departed from this world, Tim’s vibrant spirit will continue to live on in the stories told and the love shared among family and friends.
A Visitation to honor his life and legacy will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 1:00pm until 8:00pm with a 6:30pm Funeral Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc., 1139 N. Inskter Road, Garden City (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Autos for Autism or Burger Transition Center.
