Vernon Scott Rushlow Sr. Age 55 unexpectedly died of natural causes in his home. Loving father of Amanda (Abdelrahman Afify), Vernon Scott II, Jack, Marissa, Mariah, and the late Zachary. Grandfather of Arwyn. Cherished brother of Shelly (Dave), Jenifer (Mark), and the late Daniel. Beloved son of Kathleen and the late Ralph.

His family described him as caring, playful, with a huge heart. Scott was loved and cherished by many, for his love, laughter, and of course, his cooking. You may not have known, but Scott was an at home chef, famous for stuffing everyone's belly's full and asking if you still want more food. He would never let a person go hungry, or unsatisfied. He loved watching his kids sporting events and his favorite place was Hubbard Lake. He was a talented Mason and a great fisherman. He could fix anything, and anything he knew how to do, he would pass on the knowledge of it. Teaching others how to swim at the ages of 3 to 8, card games at 5, fishing at 7, and cooking at 8. Many memories were made playing card games with the extended family on holidays. He will forever be missed! Whenever someone who knew him looks at a stack of bricks, fishing poles, a deck of cards, or a pool, we will think of him and remember all of the great times we had with him.

Visitation Sunday 3 pm – 6 pm. Funeral service Monday 10 am at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.
