Victoria DeMarco. Age 94. Vicki was born on September 26, 1927, in Fairmont (formerly known as Watson), West Virginia to the late Louis and Mary (nee: Oliverio) DeMarco. Her family moved to Brownton, West Virginia in 1930. Sadly, her father died when she was only 12 years old. Her family pulled together during this time, doing jobs and taking care of tasks to keep the family going. Vicki would deliver milk from their family cow to the store. She attended Philippi High School in West Virginia. She played saxophone in the marching band. She graduated from Philippi High in 1946. After graduation, she went to work at the Standard Supply Store. This was a coal mining company store. In 1950, Vicki moved to Dearborn, Michigan along with her mother and her brother, Joseph. During that same year, she was hired at K-Mart. She worked as a Labor Relations Manager. She retired in 1987, to take care of her mother.

Vicki was very dedicated to her Catholic Faith. She began attending St. Martha Catholic Church, the year it opened in 1954. She sang in the choir and worked in the parish office for many years. When St. Martha Catholic Church closed Vicki became a parishioner at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church.
When Vicki wasn't spending time with her family or attending activities at her church, she could be found volunteering at Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. Vicki also enjoyed, going out to eat with her large group of friends. They always celebrated everyone's birthday!

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Vittaria. Vittaria passed away before Vicki was born. She is survived by her brother, Joseph. Her niece, JoAnn (Joseph) Bitz. Her nephews; Louis, Joseph (Annette), John (Laura), Robert, Michael (Valerie) and James. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

Vicki's Funeral will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 16101 Rotunda Drive, Dearborn, Michigan 48120. Instate 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church.
