Viola Mae Werlinger , 83, of Livonia passed away on December 2, 2011 at her home in the care of her family. Viola was born on March 29, 1928 in Jenkins, MN to Clair and Edna (nee Rush) Newton. She came to Detroit in 1944 where she met Peter Werlinger. They married in 1946. She is survived by her children Patt (Bill) Brown, Pamela Bruner and Robert (Brenda). Daughter-in-law, Iris Hass. 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 sister and 3 brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, son, Raymond, son-in-law, Robert Bruner, 2 great granddaughters, her parents, 1 sister and 4 brothers. She will be greatly missed by her family, and dear friend, Carol.

Visitation Sunday, 2-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill). In state Monday 10:30am until 11am Mass at St. Mel Catholic Church, 7506 Inkster (just north of Warren).
