Viorica Sanislav, age 91, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Ion. Loving mother of Mariana (Samuel) Jude, Elena (Tase) Sanislav, and Marius (Ramona-Alina) Sanislav. She was a fiercely proud grandmother to Simona (Ritchie) Elatab, Claudiu Jude, Eugen (Nicki) Jude, Alina (Mike) Hammoud, Sorina, Alex, and Marius Jr. Her heart grew even larger as a great-grandmother to Jaelyn, Julia, Jeana, Noah, Alex, Dean, Molly J., Laney, Isaac, and Molly H. She was full of energy, always smiling, and deeply dedicated to her faith and family. Famous for knitting and gifting her "papuci" (slipper socks),and everybody loved them! Her kindness, humor, and endless stories will be cherished forever. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing Viorica loved her. Her bright spirit, generous heart, and beautiful smile will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and the countless lives she touched. She is now reunited with her husband, older siblings, other family members & friends who passed before her.

She will be forever loved & deeply missed by all.

Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 23, 3:00 - 8:00 PM at John Santeiu & Son Funeral Home (1139 Inkster Rd, Garden City). Saracusta (Memorial Service) will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 PM.

Church Service: Thursday, Sept. 24, In-State 9:30 -10:00 AM, Funeral Service 10:00 -11:00 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Romanian Orthodox Church (750 N. Beech Daly, Dearborn Heights).

Burial & Luncheon: Burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery (28830 Ann Arbor Trl, Westland). Following the burial, all are warmly invited to a remembrance luncheon at Antonio's Cucina Italiana on Ford Rd in Dearborn Heights.
