Age 96
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 10, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, son Peter, and granddaughter Julia. Walt will be lovingly remembered by his children Tom (Cheri), Bill (Barbie), Martha (Jim) Slubowski, and Jason (Veronica); grandchildren Melissa (John) LeAnnais, Christy (Chris) Popma, Greg, Tim, Owen, Madalyn, Faith, Adam; great grandchildren Landon and Dylan.
Walt enjoyed camping with the Potluckers and GMC Great Lakers, woodworking and gardening. He was active with ARC of Western Wayne County, Special Olympics, Comcast Programing and Broadcasting. He was member of the Silver Strings Dulcimer Society and played in many venues for many types of events.
Visitation Friday 2-8pm with the Funeral Service Saturday 11:30am at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 N. Inkster Rd., Garden City. (Between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill.)
Family suggests memorials to ARC of Western Wayne County.
