Wanda Helen
Jaskula
July 28, 1923 – November 16, 2020
Age 97
Faithful and loving daughter of the late Charles Karol and Mary Jaskula. Preceded in death by her beloved brothers Julian, Joseph, Florian and Andrew. Loving sister in law of the late Jean and Julia Jaskula. Cherished aunt of Geraldine (William) Eggleston, Theresa (Kenneth) Whise, Lorraine (Bob) Gursky and Andrea McTaggert. Loving Godmother of Susie Guria and Joan Rayford. Beloved great aunt of Beverly, Brenda, Greg, Ken, Kristen, Lisa and Shawn. She dearly loved her many great great nieces and nephews and will be truly missed by all.
Helen was a devoted parishioner at St. Andrew's and St. Hilary Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and spent many wonderful years traveling with her friends to church seminars and many religious events. She had a deep love of travel, attending plays with her friends and family and celebrating birthdays and holiday events, especially hosting her annual family Christmas parties. She never passed up a chance to eat at her favorite restaurants and enjoy a "sweet treat" after her meal because she believed there was always room for dessert (especially ice cream) with her many cups of coffee!
She had the distinct honor of being the first female to earn her certificate at Walsh College in 1953. She graduated from the Detroit Institute of Technology class of 1954 – College of Business Administration. She was a very successful CPA and her family was extremely proud of her accomplishments and tenacity that made her the strong woman and trailblazer she was. Everyone she came in contact with looked up to her and will miss her beautiful and gentle smile. We will always remember her faith, guidance and strength. The memories we hold dear will forever be in our hearts and minds.
