Obituary

Age 95

Beloved wife of the late Joseph for 58 years. Dearest mom of Susan (Richard) Haithcock, Mary Ann (Richard) Zajac and Sharon (Michael) Kokorelis. Loving Grandma of Jeff (Kelly) Haithcock, Steven Haithcock, Laura Haithcock, Tracy (James) Franciscus, Benjamin (Jill) Zajac, Mark (Kim) Zajac, Daniel (Nikki) Zajac, Scott (Jessica) Kokorelis, Nicole (Kyle) Utne. Great grandma of 19.  She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews family and friends.

Wanda enjoyed every minute of her 95 years. She spent 58 of those years happily married to her beloved Joseph, her deceased husband and best buddy. They were nearly inseparable. Some of her fondest memories with him revolved around trips to Houghton Lake, Las Vegas, Florida, Hawaii and Pennsylvania.

She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed all aspects of parish life. She was the parish secretary, ran Monday night bingo for years and spent countless hours volunteering for the church festival.

Wanda was a BIG Detroit Tiger fan. The game was always on in her house. She loved playing cards, especially with her ladies' group. This went on for many, many years. She so looked forward to those card games.

Wanda was proud of her family, especially the fact that all nine of her grandchildren are college graduates.

In her later years, she enjoyed puzzle making, reading, gardening and playing on the iPad.

She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Private funeral services were held.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
