Wayne Clarke Murray was born in Lapeer, MI on October 2, 1943, the son of Thomas and C. Frankie. He died on February 23, 2025, in Livonia Mi.

Wayne graduated from Lapeer High School in 1962. He began working for GM that same year and was employed at Pontiac Motors for 30 years. He married Dianne Couturier on April 28, 1973, and they remained in Lapeer to raise their children. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Detroit Lions and Red Wings. He was a proud father and grandfather. He loved being able to attend sporting events where his grandchildren participated in t-ball, cheerleading, softball and basketball.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Dianne, in 2021, his infant son Joseph Wayne, and his parents and siblings.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jami Murray and Jodi (Michael) Ostroskie and his three grandchildren Aubree, Alyse and Jack Ostroskie.

Funeral service to be held Saturday March 8, 2025, at 10:00 am at St Genevieve and St Maurice Catholic Church in Livonia, MI.
