Obituary

William “Bill” Perrydore was born on July 8, 1930 in Steele, Missouri. He grew up on his family’s farm with his parents and two brothers. Bill served in the US Army during the German Occupation in the post-WWII years. He married Nadine Lahue in 1954. Shortly after their wedding, they moved to Michigan where Bill would work for General Motors for the next 31 years. Bill and Nadine raised their family in Dearborn Heights and later moved to Garden City where he remained until his death. In addition to being a devoted husband and father, Bill was an active and life-long member of Sunset Church of Christ in Taylor. As a family, they spent vacations visiting relatives in Missouri and many weekends camping and fishing in the Irish Hills. One of his greatest joys was taking his grandchildren for a ride on his boat. Bill created family wherever he went; work, church, camping, and in the home. His generous heart and good humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of the late Nadine. Dear father of Jeffrey (DeeAnn), Howard, Gary (Mary), and the late Glenda. Cherished grandfather of 10. Adored great-grandfather of 11 and proud great-great-grandfather of 1. Dearest brother of the late Herbert Perrydore and James Perrydore. Loving son of the late Noah and Lennie Perrydore.

Visitation, Monday, October 05, 2026, 11am until the 1pm Funeral Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc., Garden City (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill).
