William F. Schanz "Bill". Age 64. Bill passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Beloved husband of Hollis Schanz. Loving son of the late Donald and Margaret Schanz. Dearest brother of Patti (Mark) Harhold. Dear uncle of Stacy Patrick and Kimberly Harhold. Great uncle of Isla. Cherished cat dad of Pandora, Kiki and Jenny. Bill retired as an electrician from Ford Motor Company. He also worked for many years as a stagehand at the Detroit Opera House and on the lighting for the ice shows in Allen Park and many other venues in the Metro Detroit area. He liked to dabble in painting, pottery and glass blowing.Bill enjoyed traveling and volunteering at the Howell Nature Center with his wife, Hollis. He found great pride and joy working with the foxes, raptors and the red tail hawks at the nature center.

There will be a Memorial Service for Bill at the Christ Episcopal Church located at 120 N. Military Street, Dearborn, Michigan48124 on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.
