IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maria Anna
Camilleri
December 13, 1949 – April 11, 2024
Age 74
Loving Mother of Matthew (Larisa) Cruz and Michele (James) Cruz-Viscardi. Cherished Nanna of Samuel, Grace, and Carlos. Beloved daughter of the late Peter and Josephine Camilleri. Dear sister of Angelo (Nancy), Joseph (Debbie), Reno, and John (the late Barbara).
Maria Anna loved to celebrate life by hosting and cooking for family gatherings. She had great joy in her relationships with her grandchildren and loved being their playful Nanna. Maria Anna was hardworking, diligent, and never idle. She enjoyed working on special projects like home decorating and was quite a do-it-your-selfer. She had a green thumb and loved gardening and relaxing in the sun. She had pride in being an accomplished seamstress constructing elaborate halloween costumes and dresses or patching pants for neighbors.
Maria Anna enjoyed conversation and was a compassionate counselor to family and friends. She had a great laugh that made you feel amazing if it was you that made her laugh. Her loving heart motivated her to help others. This lead to being a Catechism teacher for confirmation candidates as well as a Eucharistic minister. Her advice in matters of life was pragmatic, hopeful, faith-based, and focused. In her devotion to the Virgin Mary she prayed her rosary daily for all her family and friends and for the whole world. We will miss her presence but can share in her joy as she now rejoices in the presence of our savior Jesus.
